A Legacy of Quality

For more than six decades, Jackson's Body Shop has been a trusted name in auto body repair and collision restoration throughout Salem, Oregon. Built on a foundation of family values, hard work, and quality craftsmanship, our story spans three generations and continues to thrive today.

Jackson's Body Shop was founded in October 1958 by Glenn Jackson and his two sons, Walter and Roger Jackson. Starting with a modest five-stall shop and small office, the family quickly earned a reputation for delivering honest service and high-quality repairs. Walter specialized in body repair while Roger focused on paint and refinishing, creating a partnership that helped establish the business as one of Salem's most respected collision repair facilities.

As the company grew, so did its footprint. In the late 1960s, a four-stall concrete block addition was constructed to accommodate increasing demand and better serve the growing community. Through the years, Jackson's Body Shop continued to evolve while remaining committed to the same principles that built its reputation—quality workmanship, integrity, and treating customers like family.

In 1987, when Silverton Road was widened, the original shop building was removed to make way for the roadway improvements. Rather than relocate, the Jackson family invested in a new future by constructing the office and repair facility that continues to serve customers today.

Carrying the Family Tradition Forward

Current owner Larry Jackson represents the third generation of family leadership. Larry began working at Jackson's Body Shop while still in high school, learning the business from the ground up. He started by prepping vehicles and sanding panels before moving into body repair work. Through hands-on experience, mentorship from seasoned technicians, and ongoing industry training, Larry developed the skills and knowledge that would shape his future in the collision repair industry.

Around 1990, Larry transitioned into the office side of the business, where he learned estimating, parts procurement, insurance claims coordination, customer service, and overall business operations. In 1998, he became a co-owner alongside his cousin Jerry, and today proudly leads the company while preserving the values established by previous generations.

Beyond the shop, Larry remains actively involved in the local community through both the Salem Chamber of Commerce and the Keizer Chamber of Commerce, reflecting Jackson's long-standing commitment to serving the region both inside and outside the workplace.

Today, Jackson's Body Shop combines generations of experience with modern repair techniques, advanced equipment, and ongoing training to ensure every vehicle is repaired safely, correctly, and to the highest standards. While vehicles and technology have changed dramatically since 1958, our commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction remains exactly the same.
